The Stamford Arms

Sadly this pub has closed although the building still remains, however if you have any pictures or stories about "The Stamford Arms" please send them us at and we will publish them on this page.

We are told by our "bookseller" and local history expert, John Sparry, that the pub was named after the Earl of Stamford and Warrington, who was related to the Greys family of Enville.

The pub still stands, however for a short time it was a transport cafe and is now owned by a plumbing and heating supplier.
